Virginia takes the lead for higher education rankings

As reported in Builder Magazine, Virginia is in the top spot for higher education. SmartAsset, a national financial technology company, has found that Virginia’s higher education has the most ideal mix of student-faculty ratios, average net price, graduation rate, in-state attendance rate and 20-year return on investment.

The average college in Virginia has a student-to-faculty ratio of fewer than 11, making it the second lowest in the country, according to SmartAsset. The state’s higher education has an average net price of $16,830, a 72% graduation rate, and ranks fifth in 20-year return on investment at $413,544. Michigan ranks second, followed by North Carolina and California, which offers the highest return on investment.
