Nestled between the Occoquan and Potomac rivers in Woodbridge, Virginia, is the community of Belmont Bay, and it’s there that Christopher Companies’ community of Marina Landing is lucky enough to call home. Marina Landing offers stunning townhomes in this beautiful and charming waterfront community located in Prince William County.

Fully appreciating the character that is so evident in Belmont Bay necessitates a brief exploration into its rich history. The area that is now known as Belmont Bay was originally occupied by the Native American Tauxenent tribe – also known as the Dogue or Doeg tribe – who had their main village at the mouth of the Occoquan River. The word “Occoquan” came from this tribe, and it translates to “at the end of the water.” The English began exploring and settling the area in the early 1600s, and its prime waterfront location allowed it to flourish. Prince William County’s first courthouse was constructed nearby in 1731, and George Washington narrowly escaped disaster here in 1791 when his carriage horses fell overboard the ferry as he crossed the Occoquan Creek. Our first president recovered from this incident as his horses pulled him to shore. In 1795, a wooden bridge was constructed that replaced the ferry, giving Woodbridge its name.

Waterfront living has always been a vital aspect of life here in Woodbridge, to the original Native Americans, to the English settlers and to current day residents, and this waterfront influence is what makes Belmont Bay such a special place. A relaxing yet thriving harbor town, Belmont Bay combines the desirability of its location in the D.C. suburbs and the desirability of its waterfront location to become an incredible destination to live. Just 14 miles to D.C., the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) station in Woodbridge allows for convenient, quick access to the nation’s capital and other Northern Virginia suburbs and cities.

With our location comes incredible area amenities, perhaps the most popular being The Osprey’s Golf Club. This spectacular 18-hole, par 70 championship golf course is open to the public and has beautiful views of the Occoquan River. Attached to the golf clubhouse is Osprey’s Landing Restaurant – offering gourmet cuisine for a great price and an even better atmosphere. Other area amenities include waterfront walking paths, a private, full-service marina, basketball and tennis courts and a community pool.

The variety of attractions within close proximity to Belmont Bay is a testament to the convenience of its location. Belmont Bay is minutes from the 400-acre Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, historic downtown Occoquan and Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center.

With its prime location, waterfront access and convenience to a variety of attractions and amenities, it’s no surprise that Washingtonian Magazine has twice named Belmont Bay as one of the best neighborhoods in the D.C. suburbs. Waterfront properties are some of the most sought-after real estate in the country, and after visiting Marina Landing at Belmont Bay, it’s not hard to see why. Our luxurious new construction townhomes offer not only breathtaking water views in an incredible location, but only the highest quality construction and craftsmanship from Christopher Companies. There’s nothing quite like waterfront living, but our residents know that there’s truly nothing that compares to living in our Marina Landing townhomes in beautiful Belmont Bay.
