According to the Falls Church News-Press, the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) had many positive things to say about the region’s housing market!
In their latest report, the NVAR points to low interest rates and strong employment growth for the sound local market and successful month of February. “Considering our record-breaking cold and snowy conditions, the fact that 1,075 homes successfully closed in February is a victory,” said local real estate professional and NVAR board member, Mary Bayat. “With average sales prices up 4% and median prices up 6% compared with 2014, our 2015 market is off to a strong start.”
Off to a strong start indeed! With this type of momentum, we here at Christopher Companies are looking forward to a successful year in the Northern Virginia housing market. The NVAR even noted that “the increased inventory and relatively stable prices…create a good opportunity to buy or sell in Northern Virginia.” Who wouldn’t want to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime chance?
