Fall is here and it’s one of the most beautiful times of year in Northern Virginia! The leaves are changing into spectacular shades of red, yellow and orange, pumpkins are starting to pop up at doorsteps and there’s a crisp chill in the air. There are many events happening around Northern Virginia this October that will help you get into the fall spirit and we wanted to share some of the highlights with you!
The Fairfax Fall Festival
The Fairfax Fall Festival takes place on October 10th and is shaping up to be a great time. Taking place in historic Old Town Fairfax City, home to our Avery Park community, this festival features 400 crafters offer a unique variety of items and activities run by local art groups and businesses. You’ll also find children’s rides, live music and food vendors!
Petoberfest
Pet lovers have a great event to look forward to this month! Petoberfest will be on Saturday, October 17th at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge, VA, also home to our new townhome community of Marina Landing. This free event is family and pet friendly and features events such as a pet parade, pet contests, a fashion show, pet-friendly exhibitors and so much more! Oktoberfest in Reston, VA
If you’re looking to take part in a traditional Oktoberfest, you’re in luck! The Oktoberfest in Reston, VA, taking place on October 10th and 11th, offers a little something for everyone. On top of the amazing Bavarian food vendors and beer garden, there’s also traditional German music and dancing, rock bands and, for the athletic type, the Reston Pumpkin 5k and Kids’ Pumpkin Dash! This is something that you won’t want to miss!
