It’s official! The spring season has begun, even if there is more snow in our forecast!  If you’re new to your Christopher Companies home, this spring marks a new beginning in an incredible community.  In Woodbridge, VA and Millsboro, DE, homes to Marina Landing and Wharton’s Bluff respectively, there are plenty of fun, seasonal activities to do to get you excited for spring!

Spring Cleaning – Spring cleaning might be at the top of every homeowner’s list, and it’s easy to see why.  It’s refreshing and can make anyone feel ready to tackle any task – not a bad way to start off the season!  You’ll be so glad to have gotten this necessity out of the way that you’ll be able to enjoy spring in its entirety.

Explore the Outdoors – What better way to welcome the spring season than to go outside and take it all in?  For those who live at Marina Landing, the massive Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge is a great place to explore and go bird watching.  At Wharton’s Bluff, the Indian River provides a calm and serene kayaking oasis, ideal for first-timers and veteran kayakers alike.

Make a Spring Wreath – Who says wreaths are only for the winter holidays?  Spring and Easter inspired wreaths are the perfect colorful adornment for your front door.  It’ll welcome guests and can only add to the classic Christopher Companies design of your home.

Go Golfing – Both Marina Landing and Wharton’s Bluff are near excellent public and private golf courses.  Golf courses are often in their best shape early on in the season.  Whether you’re new to golf or a long-time fanatic, playing 18 holes is a peaceful and enjoyable way to spend your weekend.

Work in Your Garden – April showers bring May flowers – or so they say!  That rhyme doesn’t mention anything about your hard work to prune and carefully plant the flowers in the first place! With flower boxes or planters, residents can nurse their own garden right at their home.  Whether growing flowers, herbs or vegetables, this is a hobby that will keep giving throughout summer!

Decorate – With spring holidays on the horizon, bringing a few new decorative pieces into your home is a fun way to bring the season indoors.  Decorate with new pillows, fresh flowers, or colorful hand towels.  It’ll brighten your space and get everyone in the family ready for spring!
